CFO (Chief Foodie Officer) - Ricky and Vani, the restaurant is the brainchild of this passionate couple. They have embarked on an exciting journey to share their love for Cantonese gastronomy with the local community.

Ricky has deep roots in New Zealand. Having studied in Timaru Boys High School and School of Architecture in Wellington, he developed a strong connection to the country and its people. Now, he returns to his cherished place of memories to embark on a new adventure: opening Canjoy Cantonese Cuisine. It's a testament to his love for the community and his desire to contribute to its vibrant culinary scene.

Meet Vani, a Hong Kong native with a background in business development for international fashion and jewelry brands. She is also a travel and food columnist. Vani made a bold decision to move to New Zealand with Ricky to pursue her dreams and experience a different lifestyle. Missing the delicious cuisine of her hometown, she decided to open a Cantonese restaurant in Timaru. Combining her career aspirations and love for Cantonese food.

Ricky and Vani shared love for food and travel has taken them on culinary adventures around the world. However, their hearts always gravitated back to the flavors of Chinese cuisine. With a deep appreciation for its rich heritage and a desire to share their favorite dishes, they have carefully curated a menu that showcases the best of authentic Chinese flavors while incorporating modern twists.
